Product Description

Simatech Color Touch-Up Paint is a professional automotive touch-up paint developed for the repair of stone chips, surface scratches, paint peeling, and localized paint damage on automobile, motorcycle, and commercial vehicle surfaces.

The product is custom-prepared to order based on the vehicle manufacturer's color code and OEM color formulas.

It is recommended to perform a compatibility test on a small, inconspicuous area before applying to plastic or surfaces made of different materials.

Surface Preparation

Proper preparation of the application surface is important for product performance.

  • The surface must be clean, dry, and free of dust.
  • Oil, silicone, dirt, and wax residues must be completely removed.
  • Do not apply to damp or wet surfaces.
  • Loose paint layers must be removed from the surface.
  • Rusty areas should be cleaned, and an appropriate primer should be applied if necessary.
  • The product must be thoroughly mixed before application.

Application Conditions

Recommended ambient temperature: 18°C–25°C
Recommended relative humidity: 40%–70%

Application Instructions

  • Mix the paint thoroughly before application.
  • Apply the product to a clean and dry surface in a thin layer.
  • 2–3 thin coats can be applied as needed.
  • Wait approximately 10–15 minutes between coats.
  • Avoid applying a single thick layer.
  • For best results, apply the product in a controlled manner with small touches.

Drying Times

Dust-free time: Approximately 10–15 minutes
Touch dry: Approximately 30–45 minutes
Ready for processing: Approximately 2–4 hours
Full cure: Approximately 24 hours

The stated times are average values for applications performed at an ambient temperature of 20°C. Drying times may vary depending on ambient temperature, humidity, the number of coats applied, and paint thickness.

Clear Coat Application

For metallic and pearlescent colors, it is recommended to apply a suitable automotive clear coat over the touch-up paint to provide color depth, gloss, and long-term surface protection.

Apply the clear coat in thin layers after the touch-up paint has sufficiently dried.

Color Accuracy

Simatech Color Touch-Up Paints are prepared based on;

Tone differences may occur in the vehicle's existing paint due to sunlight, length of service, environmental conditions, or previous paint jobs. Therefore, it is recommended to perform a color matching test on a small, inconspicuous area before application.

Storage Conditions

  • Store the product between 5°C and 30°C.
  • Protect from direct sunlight and heat sources.
  • Do not expose to freezing temperatures.
  • Close the cap tightly after use.
  • Store the product in its original packaging and in an upright position.

Shelf Life

The product can be stored for 24 months from the production date in its original, unopened packaging under suitable storage conditions.

  • Use only in well-ventilated areas.
  • Keep away from fire, flames, sparks, and other ignition sources.
  • Wearing protective gloves and goggles is recommended during application.
  • Avoid inhaling vapors directly.
  • Do not allow contact with skin and eyes.
